Lenten Conversations with the Little Black Book

February 27th - April 3rd

Deepen your Lenten devotion by joining us for our Lenten Conversations series. We will meet every Monday 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM at St. Bernard’s in the new parish center (Room 305) to discuss our reflections on the Lenten Little Black Book, watch videos about common Lent questions, and enjoy some snacks and each other’s company. Materials are provided and you are welcome to join us for one or all of the sessions. Please let us know if you have any questions and we’re excited to journey through Lent together!

Have Questions?

Who is a young adult? - We invite all people 21-35 to join our group. We recognize that this is a time of a lot of changes for many of us, and we want to welcome anyone interested in finding a faith community.

I am not Catholic; can I join? - Yes! Although we are based in a Catholic parish, we welcome anyone interested in joining us for community and learning more about the Catholic faith especially within the context of Christian unity.

How often  do we meet?- Typically, we will meet once or twice a month and you are welcome to join whenever you are able. We will have events targeted at young adults but will also plan on attending other parish and local community events as a group.

Why is the group called 4:12 Society? – Our name comes from 1 Timothy 4:12: “Let no one disregard you because you are young, but be an example to all the believers in the way you speak and behave, and in your love, your faith and your purity.” St. Timothy was an early Christian, a trusted friend of St. Paul, and is thought to have been much younger than other Christian missionaries of his time, yet his role in the early Church wasn’t any less important. We aim to follow his example and become young, active Christians brought together by our faith.

How do I get involved? - To get involved and receive more information about our ministry and upcoming events, sign up for our mailing list or attend one of our events.
