COMMUNION MINISTERS
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are men and women of faith who serve the Church by helping to distribute Holy Communion at Mass. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion receive training to assist the Priest, who is the Minister of the Eucharist and Deacon, who is an Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion in the distribution of Holy Communion.
The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are called to humbly serve the Church as people of prayer and service. A lively faith and internal prayer to Jesus, whose body and blood are being shared, is the foundation of this ministry.
For more information on how to become an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Mass, please contact Fr. Rick or Deacon Mike at the Parish Office at (860) 872-0200.
Those who bring Holy Communion to those unable to come to Mass are Ministers to the sick and homebound. More information on Ministry to the Sick and Homebound can be found here.
