Small Christian Communities (SCC) are small groups of parishioners who gather regularly for prayer and reflection. These groups are called Small Christian Communities because they come together to reflect on the scriptures for a coming Sunday Mass using a process which connects our faith life with our lived experiences. While it is not a bible study as such, it is prayerful process of looking at how our lives and our relationship to Jesus can be viewed and understood through the lens of the scriptures we hear and read each Sunday.
Since the fall of 2021 we have been offering virtual Small Christian Faith Community meetings for those who are homebound, persons whose schedules prevent attending regular in-person groups, and parishioners who have moved out of area, but would like to maintain their contact with the parish. We have both a morning (10:00am) and evening (6:30pm) group that meet via Zoom.
