Due to the impending storm and the cancellation of Masses at Blessed Sacrament Parish (please see other news article for more information), we are postponing this blessing until next weekend - February 5th & 6th
In honor of the Feast of St. Blaise (February 3rd) we will bless throats after all Masses at both St. Matthew and St. Bernard next weekend. Like last year, we will perform the blessing while parishioners remain in their seats.
Through this blessing we pray for the intercession of St. Blaise to protect us from illnesses of the throat and all other illnesses. We pray that both our spiritual and physical bodies will be made pure and healthy so that we may better serve our God in life and love.
