Dear Parish Family,
Happy New Year everyone. Has there ever been a year when we were more excited to see it in the rear-view mirror?! 2020 will go down in history as a year that changed our world, disrupted our lives and burdened us in ways we never expected. We pray 2021 is a year that will, eventually, be filled with healing, joy, hope and renewed faith. Hang in there everyone there’s a light at the end of this very long tunnel – and it’s Christ.
Of all the Christmases I’ve celebrated since my ordination – this was one for the books! I am so grateful to all of you for your patience during this season. I know we were very used to showing up at any Christmas Mass and finding a place to sit – or if it was the 4:00 pm Mass – stand. This year was tough having so many restrictions in seating capacity, social distancing requirements and the maintaining of a safe environment for our people. Even with the challenges we faced, all eleven Masses were truly beautiful and prayerful and joyful. I thank God for guiding us through these turbulent waters.
On behalf of my brother clergy, I wish to thank everyone who helped us have such a great Christmas. Your faithfulness and devotion to God’s Church is beautiful and inspiring. Let’s keep that light shining!
Happy New Year everyone and may God protect and embrace you with his love throughout our new year.
Peace,
Fr. Rick
