Annual School Supply Drives - St. Matthew Drop Off - Aug 15/16

It’ that time of year! Blessed Sacrament Parish is working with local organizations to collect school supplies for children for whom the cost of supplies is prohibitive.

Please consider donating:

  • Gift cards to Staples or Walmart
  • Backpacks (especially for teens)
  • 1 & 2 inch ring binders
  • Notebooks
  • Packs of loose leaf paper
  • # 2 pencils
  • Composition notebooks
  • Pens
  • Calculators
  • Crayons
  • Markers
  • Glue sticks
  • Plastic scissors
  • Rulers

Collection Dates & Places

  • August 8th & 9th
    • At St. Bernard Church (supplies will go to HVCC)
    •  Please leave items in the door vestibules of the Church
  • August 15th & 16th
    • At St. Matthew Church (supplies will go to CT Department of Children & Families, Manchester office—which supports Tolland and Tolland Human Services)
    •  Please leave items in the Covenant to Care/School Supplies box in the Church Hall
  • Items may also be brought to the drop boxes at The Cornerstone Foundation (3 Prospect St., Rockville)

Please Note: In order to receive school supplies from HVCC, eligible families must sign up in person ASAP at the HVCC Food Pantry, because supplies are limited. If you have any questions, call HVCC at (860) 872-7727.

Your participation is especially appreciated this year, as so many more families are struggling in so many ways. Please help our children, if you can.

Thank you for your generosity!
