Fr. White Scholarship

The Father White Scholarship was established to pay tribute to the Rev. John White, former pastor of St. Bernard Church. Throughout his priestly ministry, Father White embraced his vocation by preaching, teaching and living the Gospel message of compassion and service. He epitomized the ideal of diocesan priesthood. Perhaps he is best known for the energy and love he gave to promoting good Catholic education. He loved children and was a strong advocate for them.

The Blessed Sacrament Parish Father John White Scholarship is presented each year to up to four graduating 8th grade students who intend to be enrolled in a Catholic High School. All are chosen from our Religious Education Program.
