Cemetery Secretary/Office Receptionist

Multi- task position requiring excellent interpersonal skills to welcome visitors, answer phones, and professionally maintain cemetery office.

Must have proficiency in computer keyboard and typewriter data entry as well as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.  Creates, files and organizes all cemetery sale, use, and ownership records including cemetery plot certificates, monthly cemetery reports with Town of Vernon.  Also approves memorial marker inscriptions, symbols and foundations with monument companies as well as Veteran memorial applications.

Meets with families to sell burial plots, pre-need and at-need and works closely with St. Bernard Cemetery Sexton to coordinate graveside services, grave and niche openings.  Performs related duties as required.

Works in Blessed Sacrament Parish Administrative Office under direction of Business Manager Monday-Thursday 8:30am-12:00pm, Friday 8:30am-3:00pm up to 20 hours/week.  This position is part time with no benefits.
