The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. For many, October is also a month filled with returning to a busy schedule. In our busyness it can be easy to overlook the need to spend time with God. It is perhaps in our busyness we need most to find a moment of peace and silence.
The Church has many devotions and even many modes of praying the rosary. While the recitation of the rosary and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother will never be obsolete, it can be difficult to include it in our hectic lives. October 6th and 7th you are invited to celebrate the rosary in our parish and find a little extra time to be with Our Lord. Many of the events are regularly scheduled and part of a typical parish weekend. However, the opportunity exists by combining the events, to create a personal mini retreat.
You can choose to stop by and say a decade or one Hail Mary or make a mini retreat by going to Adoration, reciting the rosary, going to reconciliation and Mass—whatever fits your schedule. If you are not able to make any of these events, check out Formed or any Catholic platform, to find an online Rosary to listen to.
