We meet once a month ( 2nd Thursday of each month) to create prayer shawls and lap robes from September through June, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the St. Bernard Church hall. These shawls and lap robes may be given for any occasion, such as marriage, birth of a child, welcome to the family, bereavement, and other milestones as well as to those in need of comfort. In addition to being wrapped in a beautiful shawl, the recipients will most surely be wrapped in God's love as prayerful thoughts are woven into each stitch.
We invite all those from both St. Bernard's and St. Matthew"s who enjoy knitting and/or crocheting to consider joining our Prayer Shawl Ministry. Please bring yarn, knitting needles (size 10 to 11), or a crochet hook, size H or I.
